CES welcome the world !

The hostel is open to welcome you, every day, at all hours

Ideally situated at a stone's throw from the seafront and only a few minutes from the Town Centre, it is a warm and friendly place, designed for meeting and chatting to others.

We have been accommodating individuals, families, school groups, sports teams, training courses and seminars for over 20 years now, and envisage continuing for many more.

The communal area on the ground floor has a billiard table, table football and a bar. There is also a residents' library and a TV room.

Structure and capacity

We have 162 beds available, in 84 bedrooms equipped with 1 to 4 beds. 8 of these bedrooms have wheelchair access.

Sheets and blankets are provided and the beds are made up, but we do not provide towels. There is a shared bathroom for every 2 bedrooms. Sharing is easy with the magnet system on the doors.

Several fully-equipped, adjustable meeting rooms, which can accommodate up to 120 people, are available for training sessions and conferences.

The self-service restaurant has seating for 120 people. The terrace has space for 30 more. Our kitchen staff is happy to welcome you and will adapt to all your requirements !

As our restaurant is open to all and our team places great importance on making everyone feel at home, we pay particular attention to your eating preferences or special dietary requirements and adapt our meals accordingly.

Our garden

A place for relaxing in a natural environment.

In the garden behind the Hostel you’ll find hens, trees and an insect hotel. You can have lunch on the patio, a nap on the grass, or sit and read your book on a nice bench. This communal leisure area is your space as well during your stay in the hostel.

The garden is also a mini-laboratory for sustainable development: The hens eat part of the restaurant’s catering waste; the staff eat their eggs. The henhouse was built with sustainable wood by members of our management committee. The insect hotel was built using recycled materials, and the garden furniture made out of pallets. We installed birds’ and bats’ nests in the garden in 2010, in response to the difficulty certain species have in finding natural habitats in urban areas.

All this reflects our strong commitment to sustainable development, acknowledged by our obtaining the European Ecolabel in 2015, and its subsequent renewal in 2018.
