Organic bread baked locally - bread is supplied by our partner Pain & Partage, a community bakery that makes 100% organic bread locally in Calais.
Action against food-wastage : a plan of action to reduce food waste, launched at the hostel in 2018, is continuing in 2019. Several means are used, including poster campaigns, training kitchen staff to increase awareness of the problem, informing groups about our anti-waste initiatives and use of recreational media tools to present the issue to visitors in the establishment. For more details, see the article on our blog about food wastage.
